NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATIONS
LAS 29433 and LAS 29442
Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that Silver Bay Seafoods, LLC, 4019 21st Avenue W., Suite 300, Seattle, Washington 98119, applied for two permits to appropriate water in Naknek. The application proposes the following:
LAS 29433 proposes withdrawal of 2,000 gallons/day year-round, and 8,500 additional gallons/day from May 1st – August 31st annually, from a drilled well, 253 feet deep, for a public water supply for housing and seasonal lodging located within the Carlson Addn #2 & #5 Subdivisions, according to the official plats thereof, filed under Plat No’s. 86-3 and 2002-3, Kvichak Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.
LAS 29442 proposes withdrawal of 875,000 gallons/day from April 1st through August 31st annually, from four drilled wells, 256, 258, 262, and 258 feet deep, for a seafood processing plant located within Drews Subdivision, and Lot 2 of Malone Subdivision, according to the official plats thereof, filed under Plat No’s 95-5 and 77-4, Kvichak Recording District, Third Judicial District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.
Per AS 46.15.133 (a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing to the above listed address or to jonathan.tucker@alaska.gov by 5:00 pm on January 24, 2025. Objection must include the objector’s name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
