Alaska Veterans & Pioneers Home

Roof Replacement

Project No.:  25-N0817C

Bidders are invited to submit sealed bids, in single copy:  Contractor to submit a bid to provide all labor, supervision, permits, equipment and materials for removal of partial areas of existing roof assembly down to wood T&G roof deck.  Installation of new roof assembly and new roof perimeter flashing.  Additional work on gutters, downspouts, and heat trace, structural replacement of select beams, mechanical and electrical work associated with roof work.  This project is to comply with BABAA Build America Buy America Act. See Specification 00 10 00 for more information.

This ITB consists of a Basic Bid and 3 Additive Alternates. 

Additive Alternate 1:  Heat Trace at Fireweed and Sunny Loop Wings.

Additive Alternate 2:  Homestead Dining Roof Replacement.

Additive Alternate 3:  Fireplace Chimney Surround.

A pre-bid walk through is scheduled for March 17, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Alaska Veterans & Pioneers Home.  Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.  Please meet in the main lobby located at 250 E. Fireweed Ave, Palmer, AK 99645

Bid Deadline is 2:00pm April 8, 2025, local time. Bids will be opened publicly at 2:00 pm local time April 8, 2025, at 3601 C Street Suite 290 Anchorage, AK 99503

All Bids, bid modifications, or withdrawals transmitted by mail or email must be received prior to the scheduled time of bid opening.  All bids should be addressed to: Mark Moon 3601 C Street - Suite 290 Anchorage Alaska 99503.  All electronic submissions should be sent to:  fcs.facilities@alaska.gov

*SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS*

The Department will accept an electronic (email) submission of bids for this solicitation.  Bids, bid modifications and withdrawals should be submitted to fcs.facilities@alaska.gov prior to the date and time shown above.  Offerors are responsible to assure timely delivery, and receipt of their bids.  Offerors are cautioned that due to mailbox restrictions, we cannot receive bids over 20MB in size.  The Contracting Agency will print out bids for public opening at the time designated above.

The Engineer’s Estimate: Between $3,250,000 and $4,800,000

The Project completion date: 215 Days after NTP

Plans and Specifications may be printed by the Bidder from:

  • the State of Alaska website (www.state.ak.us )Public Notices Online button, click on the More Public Notices button, Browse Active Public Notice button, then Health & Social Services, and Procurement

OR

  • the Bidder may forward the project website location/address information to the print shop of their choice for printing – all associated printing costs are payable by the Bidder.

Bidders are responsible for checking this website for addenda.  Not acknowledging addenda at the time of bid will deem the Bidder non-responsive.
