PUBLIC NOTICE
REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND 
IN MINTO, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LANDS TRUSTEE

In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.460(1) the Municipal Lands Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, approved the proposed Public School Lease Amendment No. 1 issued to the Yukon-Koyukuk School District. The amendment updates the legal description to conform to a completed survey and the addition of more lands, now described as:

The surface estate of that certain real property located within Sections 22 and 27, Township 4 North, Range 9 West, Fairbanks Meridian, more particularly described as Block 15, containing 6.84 acres, and a portion of Block 16, containing 1.55 acres, of Plat 2017-1 recorded in the Manley Hot Springs Recording District, as depicted on Appendix A. Aggregating to a total of 8.39 acres, more or less.

The Minto Village Council, the recognized appropriate village entity for the Village of Minto, adopted a resolution approving the granting of the amendment and the waiver of the fair market value requirement on May 24, 2024.  

The public is invited to comment on the proposed action.

Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Commissioner’s decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
