Subject to AS 38.05.070 the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has made a Preliminary Decision to offer a 40-year lease, and associated public access and utility easements, to Little Mount Susitna Wind, LLC (LMSW) to be located in the area of Little Mount Susitna, approximately 37 miles northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. LMSW has requested to lease up to 450 acres of land within an overall project area of approximately 19,000 acres. LMSW is proposing to use this site for the development, use, operation, and maintenance of a long-term wind farm.
The public is invited to review and comment on this Preliminary Decision. A copy of the Preliminary Decision can be found at https://aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/default.aspx or is available in hardcopy upon request. All comments must be received in writing at the above listed mailing address or e-mail on or before 11:59 PM on July 8, 2024. To be eligible to appeal DNR’s Final Finding and Decision, under AS 38.05.035(i)-(m), a person must have submitted written comments during this comment period.
