The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional design, engineering, and support services for the Adak Airport Runway, Taxiway, and Apron Pavement Rehabilitation project. The consultant selected will provide lead airport engineering services (civil, electrical, geotechnical, environmental, etc.). as the engineer of record in responsible charge to develop plans, specifications, estimate, and supporting documents.
The scope of work includes rehabilitating the runway, taxiway, and apron at the Adak Airport.
A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from September 2023 to December 31, 2025. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $500,000- $1,000,000.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available July 28, 2023 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK 99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4420. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received no later than August 25, 2023, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau. Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages. Proposals may be submitted by email to: srdotpfcontracts@alaska.gov

Every effort will be made by the Department to ensure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued. Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to ensure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP. No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
