Access Easement
Copper River Watershed Project

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has received an application for the following access easement:
APPLICANT: Copper River Watershed Project
PROJECT NAME: ADL 234634
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Cordova, Alaska
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 30 and 31 of Township 15 South, Range 2 West, Copper River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant has requested an easement on state-owned, DMLW-managed submerged lands approximately 320 feet in length and 220 feet in width, totaling 1.25 acres below the ordinary high-water line, more or less. The purpose of the proposed easement is to replace a failing existing weir with a new structure to retain existing lake water surface elevations, improve upstream fish passage and connectivity, and address community concerns. The easement, if approved, may differ from that described herein.
REQUESTED TERM: Indefinite

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501, on or before the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
