NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has received a request to amend the Reclamation Plan Approval (A20243253RPA) for the Johnson Tract Project to support advanced underground mineral exploration within private (CIRI) lands located in the Redoubt Mining District approximately 43 miles northwest of the community of Anchor Point.
This notice is pertaining to the Department’s review and adjudication of J T Mining’s proposed reclamation required for the final closure of the development of a portal, pad, and water management for underground exploration. Reclamation must be completed pursuant to Alaska Statutes 27.19 (Reclamation) and the Alaska Administrative Code, Title 11 (Natural Resources) and Chapter 97 (Mining Reclamation).

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: J T Mining, Inc. is requesting approval to amend the Reclamation Plan for placement of a portal and tunnel for underground exploration drilling which includes a dewatering pipeline and Rapid Infiltration Basin (RIB). All proposed activities and reclamation are outlined in J T Mining’s Reclamation Plan Amendment #1 (Attached).

This notice is provided to the public, and the public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
