Subject to AS 35.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Joseph Borer
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35906
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
State-owned uplands in the Vallenar Bay Subdivision on Gravina Island, approximately five miles northwest of the Ketchikan airport at 55.3841°N 131.8341°W.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Approximately 0.05 acres of state-owned upland in SE1/4 NE1/4 Section 11, Township 75 South, Range 89 East, Copper River Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
Joseph Borer (applicant) is requesting a five-year Land Use Permit for the year-round placement of a turnout and driveway. The turnout along Vallenar Road would be approximately 30 feet long and 14 feet wide. The driveway, approximately 200 feet long tapering from 12 feet wide at the top down to 8 feet wide. The driveway and turnout would be comprised of shot rock and connect the applicant’s private property to Vallenar Road.

End: March 19, 2031

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a discussion is made on this activity.
