Notice of Application to Amend Utility Certificate

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on March 5, 2026, the City of Wasilla (“Wasilla”) and Eagle Utilities, Inc. (“Eagle”) (collectively, “Applicants”) jointly filed an application to alter the service areas of Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (Certificate) Nos. 262 and 356.  Wasilla holds Certificate No. 262, and Eagle holds Certificate No. 356.  Docket U-26-008 was opened to address this matter.

The Applicants seek to alter the service areas of the Certificates by transferring the Ranch Phase 1 Subdivision and Panoramic Preserve Subdivision service areas from Wasilla to Eagle. Wasilla’s water system does not currently extend to the areas which are the subject of this transfer application.

No motions for waiver or petitions for confidentiality were filed with the application. The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete by March 26, 2026.
