- HB33: “An Act relating to participation in matters before the Board of Fisheries and the Board of Game by the members of the respective boards; and providing for an effective date.”
- HB93: “An Act changing the residency requirements for hunting, trapping, and sport fishing privileges; and providing for an effective date.”
- HB203: “An Act relating to the use of certain trawl or dredge fishing gear in state water; and providing for an effective date.”
- SB216: “An Act relating to the transfer of big game hunting permits; and providing for an effective date.”
Other Fish & Game Business as Needed
The election meeting is open to the public. Voting will be held in person and remotely over zoom at the above link. If you wish to participate in this election remotely/cannot attend the meeting in person, please contact the regional coordinator a minimum of 24 hours prior to the election meeting so that residency can be verified for election eligibility. Interested parties must be of voting-age and reside in the area served by the committee as defined in 5 AAC 96.910(10), as well as be in attendance at the election meeting, either in person or remotely. The areas served by the Matanuska Valley Fish and Game Advisory Committee as defined in in 5 AAC 97.005 are Game Management Units 13, 14, 16, and Cook Inlet – Resurrection Bay fisheries. There will be no proxy voting, or voting on behalf of another person besides yourself that is not present, allowed.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
