Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: South of King Salmon Creek, approximately 3.75 miles northwest of Idavain Lake.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 36, Township 15 South, Range 41 West, Seward Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Graham Morrison, dba Morrison Guide Services, is requesting authorization for a five-year year-round land use permit in support of big game guiding by King Salmon Creek, north of Idavain Lake during the months of May, September, and October. The activity would utilize a 12-foot by 12-foot cabin built on plastic runners to allow it to be removed using snow machines when needed. The authorization would also include the use of short-term portable camps.

Start: April 1, 2026
End: March 31, 2031

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
