Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35761
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located near milepost 118 on the Parks Highway, 3 miles north of Trapper Creek.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: W1/2 Section 8, Township 26 North, Range 5 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant ASRC Earthworks, LLC is requesting a 1-year Land Use Permit to temporarily store and stockpile equipment within state owned land located near milepost 118 of the Parks Highway. The project is in support of an Alaska Department of Transportation Parks Highway culvert replacement project during the months of May through October, 2026. The site will be used to stage various construction equipment including loaders, excavators, conexes, dozers, haul trucks and fuel trucks, and to stockpile various materials such as pipes, riprap, ditch lining, porous drain rock, borrow, and fuel.

End: November 1, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
