Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 4 sites below MHW within the Kuguklik River, located from about river mile 5 to 14.5
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Site #1: Section 3, Township 3 South, Range 86 West, Seward Meridian
Site #2: Section 35, Township 2 South, Range 86 West, Seward Meridian
Site #3: Section 36, Township 2 South, Range 86 West, Seward Meridian
Site #4: Section 5, Township 3 South, Range 85 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: A one-year Land Use Permit for the seasonal (May-September) placement of river monitors, fluke anchors, buoys, and cables in four locations within the Kuguklik River for research water flow in support of Kipnuk's First Service drinking water project.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
