Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Aaron Carter dba Alaska Big Timber Outfitters
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35444
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located on southeastern Kodiak Island, on the uplands of the western shoreline towards the head of Kiliuda Bay.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SE1/4SE1/4 Section 32, Township 32 South, Range 24 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Aaron Carter DBA Alaska Big Timber Outfitters is requesting a 5-year land use permit for the placement of a seasonal commercial recreation camp with off-season caching in support of big game guiding on state lands off Kiliuda Bay for the months of May plus September through December. The camp would generally consist of (2) 12-foot by 12-foot tent platforms on skids, along with the use of up to (4) 55-gallon drums for off-season camp storage. The permit would also allow for the use of two additional short-term portable camps in support of the base camp.

Start: May 2025
End: December 2030

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
