The Eagle Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet and hold elections on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the Eagle Village Tribal Hall and by web/teleconference. This meeting is open to the public.

Agenda items will include the following:

• Elections for all 9 Eagle AC seats
• Officer elections for Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary/Recorder
• Update on Wood Bison Restoration Project
• Letter to Interior Region ACs re: convening Fortymile Caribou Herd Coalition
• Discuss Special Action Request
• Discuss Eastern Interior Sheep Management Plan 
• 2024-2025 Board of Fisheries Agenda Change Request Deadline – August 30^th, 2024
• 2024-2025 Board of Game Call for Proposals (includes statewide) – due May 1^st, 2024
• Other fisheries, wildlife, or committee business as needed

Voting will be held in person. If you wish to participate in this election and cannot attend the meeting in person, please contact the regional coordinator a minimum of 24 hours prior to the election meeting.

To be eligible to make nominations or vote in an election of a Fish & Game Advisory Committee, you must be a voting-age resident of the area served by the committee as defined in 5 AAC 96.910(10) and attending the election meeting. The areas served by the Eagle Fish and Game Advisory Committee as defined in 5 AAC 97.005 are Game Management Units 20 and 25 and the Upper Yukon River. Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
