The Department of Corrections, Division of Administrative Services, is soliciting proposals for an individual or firm to provide Asbestos 40-hour AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) training course to inmate students at four (4) correctional centers within the State of Alaska. This course ensures each student has a thorough understanding of the potential hazards to health and safety associated with the site clean-up of asbestos and the ability to identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of asbestos. The seminar covers basic information through lectures, films, and hands-on workshops.
