The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received a lease plan of operations application on July 13, 2022, from Hilcorp Alaska, LLC (HAK) requesting authorization to expand K Pad in the Beluga River Unit (BRU). The proposed development will be adjudicated under AS 38.05 and 11 AAC 83.346. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Location: K Pad is located on the west side of Cook Inlet, approximately two miles west of the Beluga River mouth. K Pad is located on Cook Inlet Region Incorporated (CIRI) surface land and State of Alaska subsurface land.
Project Description: This project would include placing 27,400 cubic yards of gravel on the south and east sides of K Pad. This would expand the pad by 4.5 acres. Additional infrastructure to be installed on K Pad would include a compressor package and a communications tower. K pad would be tied into existing highline power via an overhead powerline.
