PUBLIC NOTICE

REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND IN
KOKHANOK, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LAND TRUSTEE

In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.460(1) the Municipal Lands Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, is considering the issuance of a Residential Land Lease for the following described parcel of Municipal Trust land to the Kokhanok Village Council:

That surface estate, including all improvements, located within Section 32, Township 8 South, Range 32 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska, being situated

in the Native Village of Kokhanok, 0.91 acres more or less, as more particularly described and shown in Appendix A – Property Plan.

The Kokhanok Village Council, the recognized appropriate village entity for the Native village of Kokhanok, adopted a resolution approving the lease and the waiver of the fair market value requirement on September 10, 2020. 

The public is invited to comment on the proposed conveyance.

Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Commissioner’s decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
