PUBLIC NOTICE

REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND IN
KOKHANOK, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LAND TRUSTEE

In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.460(3) the Municipal Land Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, is considering the issuance of quitclaim deeds to the following named individuals for the following described parcels of Municipal Trust Land, subject to survey, plat approval, and recording:

The surface estate of that certain real property located in Sections 31 and 32, Township 8 South, Range 32 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska within the Iliamna Recording District:

The Kokhanok Village Council, the recognized appropriate village entity for the Native Village of Kokhanok, adopted a resolution approving the granting of quitclaim deeds and the waiver of the fair market value requirement on August 13, 2020. 

Any person having an adverse equity interest in the improvements located on these parcels must contact the staff listed below, within 30 days after the publication of this notice, to file a claim with the commissioner so that their interest may be considered before disposal of the parcel.

The public is invited to comment on the proposed conveyance.

Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Commissioner’s decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
