Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Anthony Lovell and Lucette O’Hagan-Lovell
PROJECT NAME: LAS 32950
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Thorne Bay, specifically Tract A in Plat 2009-7 of Alaska State Land Survey No. 2006-72, South Thorne Bay Addition No. 1.
MTRS: SE ¼ Sec. 11, T. 72 S., R. 84 E., CRM
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant has applied to the Division of Mining Land and Water (DMLW) for an indefinite Land Use Permit requesting authorization for year-round use of an existing road on state-owned uplands within Tract A in Plat 2009-7[1] of Alaska State Land Survey No. 2006-72, South Thorne Bay Addition No. 1. The road extends roughly 230 feet from the end of Steep Road along a Public Access and Utility Easement toward a lot owned by the Lovells. The existing road that the Lovells request the use of was installed without DMLW’s knowledge. The road is currently in trespass.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: Starting in 2019 and extending indefinitely
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: August 30, 2019
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
