The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is looking for a contractor to implement a system-wide verbal de-escalation training to ensure that youth in secure custody experience physical interventions at a decreased rate and that the staff have the skills to engage with youth in a positive manner.

The approximate IRFP schedule is as follows:

• Issue IRFP- Friday July 12, 2019
• Deadline for Receipt of Proposals - by 2:00PM Alaska Time, Monday July 22, 2019
• Sate of Alaska issues Notice of Award – by July 26, 2019
• Contract start date – August 1, 2019

Please review the minimum requirements listed to see if you meet our prior experience requirements:

1. The offeror must have ten (10) years of experience providing verbal de-escalation Instructor Training, certified course work to law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies.

2. The identified instructor(s) must have three (3) years in the last five (5) of experience training in the identified verbal de-escalation method as a master trainer.

3. The identified instructor(s) must be familiar with providing the verbal de-escalation Instructor Training to law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies and have provided Instructor Training for law enforcement, juvenile justice, or corrections agencies at least two (2) times in the past five (5) years.

An offeror's failure to meet these minimum prior experience requirements will cause their proposal to be considered non-responsive and their proposal will be rejected.
