Public and Agency Notice: Proposed Permit

Pursuant to AS 38.05.850

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office (SCRO) is considering the issuance of a permit to Efficient Coastal Resources. This permit would authorize the use of up to 1 acre of tidelands for the establishment of two 2,304 feet sub-tidal longlines, anchored to the sea floor to determine the feasibility of growing and producing local species of sugar kelp. The proposed site is approximately 1 nautical mile from the community of Larsen Bay, Alaska on the west side of Kodiak Island within Section 36, Township 30 South, Range 30 West, Seward Meridian.
The public and agencies are invited to review and comment on this proposed project.
