Subject to Alaska Statute 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Southeast Regional Office (SERO) is considering an application to grant a Private Non-Exclusive Easement for ADL 108306. The requested easement would be used to install a fiber optic cable on the seabed of Lynn Canal using a cable laying ship. Three cable landings in Juneau, Haines and Skagway would require conduit in the intertidal zone for protecting the fiber cable. Application materials and figures showing the location of ADL 108306 are enclosed with this notice.
The requested easement is approximately 100 miles in length and 30 feet wide, occupying approximately 364 acres of State-owned land.
