Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water, Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association

PROJECT NAME: ADL 106711

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Burnett Lake is approximately 26 miles southwest of Wrangell and 16 miles north of Coffman Cove. Burnett Lake is located on Etolin Island.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: DMLW managed submerged land and shoreland, located in Burnett Lake, Sections 32 and 29, Township 66 South, Range 84 West, Copper River Meridian, Alaska.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: On September 4th, 2025, the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW) received an application for the renewal of a private non-exclusive easement from Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association for a pre-existing intake infrastructure on State-owned, DMLW-managed land on Etolin Island, Alaska. The intake structure provides water for the hatchery, ADL 104373.

REQUESTED TERM: 25-year term

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 1, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
