REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Proposals for White Mountain Crew Facility Design-Build, Project Number B-24-CP-AK-0033 / 25C1062115, will be received before 4:00 p.m., October 21, 2026 at the office of the Chief of Contracts, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

This federally funded contract will design and construct a new wildland firefighter crew facility at the Department of Natural Resources complex at 3700 Airport Way in Fairbanks, Alaska. This facility will be constructed in the image of the Copper River Fire Facility.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. The Project substantial completion date will be January 14, 2028.

A non-mandatory site visit has been scheduled during the advertising period on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1:00pm at the project location (3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, Alaska) Please contact the Project Manager Lauren Staft at  lauren.staft@alaska.gov a minimum of 48 hours prior to the site visit

Proposal documents and Addenda along with other additional information pertaining to the project may now be downloaded in their entirety at no charge from the Department’s approved online bidding service: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings. Proposal documents may also be purchased for $100.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m. (907) 269-0408.
