DOT&PF Notice of Open House and Public Comment: Ketchikan Tongass Avenue & Water Street Viaducts

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) invites you to attend an Open House to learn more about the proposed improvements to the Tongass Avenue and Water Street Viaducts in Ketchikan.

The purpose of this project is to maintain the Tongass Avenue and Water Street corridor, address existing infrastructure needs, and keep the existing viaducts safely in service. The overall corridor improvement effort has been split into funded near-term projects and future improvements that will advance as funding becomes available. This open house will focus on the three funded near-term projects, including pavement repairs, structural repairs to the existing viaducts, replacement of the Jim Creek culvert to address flooding, utility upgrades as needed, and targeted pedestrian improvements.
