Brief Description

The Department of Law proposes to adopt regulations on attorney general certification of fiduciary review requested by the fiduciary of a covered fund.

Summary of proposed changes: The Department of Law proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 9 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with certification of fiduciary review, including the following:

(1)        9 AAC 70.010 is proposed to be added setting for the purpose of 9 AAC 70.

(2)        9 AAC 70.015 is proposed to be added relating to documentation required to be submitted by the fiduciary of a covered fund for review by the attorney general.

(3)        9 AAC 70.020 is proposed to be added relating to action by the attorney general on receipt of a request for fiduciary review from the fiduciary of a covered fund.

(4)        9 AAC 70.025 is proposed to be added providing definitions for 9 AAC 70.

Additionally, the Department of Law will accept comments by facsimile at 907-276-3697 and by electronic mail at law.regulations.comments@alaska.gov. Written comment deadline: The written comments must be received not later than 5:00 p.m. on September 28, 2026.

The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment during the time allowed if your interests could be affected.
