Northwest of the Alaska Range; 11 miles southwest of the confluence of the South Fork Kuskokwim River and the Dillinger River; approx. 3000 feet west of the Farewell Airport and 3200 ft south of Sheep Creek; Appears to be within Lot 2 of USS 2640

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Section 21, Range 25 West, Township 28 North, Seward Meridian, 62.5064N, 153.914W

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The establishment and use of a man camp, double pit privy, fuel storage, equipment staging, and off-road travel in support of mining operations on nearby CIRI lands.

• Temporary Structures:

  16'x14' Kitchen, 16'x40' Laundry/Shower Tent, (4) 12'x10' Sleepers, (3) 12'x20' Sleepers, 12'x20' Core Logging Tent, 12'x20' Office, 12'x20' Dry tent, (6) 10'x10' wooden decks for fuel storage, Double Pit Privy

• Offroad Travel and equipment staging:

  Full-size skidsteer (~10,000 pounds) to haul gear from Farewell Airport to permit area along established trail.

• Fuel Storage: up to 1300 Gallons of Jet-A fuel, within secondary containment of 110% capacity.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: August 2026
End: September 2031

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
