Citizen Advisory Board Meeting

The Kenai River Special Management Area Citizen Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 33398 Ski Hill Road, Soldotna, Alaska.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, and the public is welcome to participate either in person or virtually.

The Kenai River Special Management Area Citizen Advisory Board provides a public forum and advises the Governor and Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources on matters relating to the Kenai River watershed, excluding matters related to fisheries allocation. The Board is currently comprised of 12 public members and five non-voting agency representatives.

Public Comment

Members of the public are encouraged to participate. Written comments may be submitted prior to the meeting by email to hans.rinke@alaska.gov. Please include “Kenai River Special Management Area Citizen Advisory Board” in the subject line. Written comments will be provided to Board members for consideration.
