The Metlakatla Indian Community is applying to the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities through the Recreational Trails Program, for funds to start a trail around the Yellow Hill Lake in Metlakatla, Alaska. This project will include a board walk that will circle Yellow Hill Lake and a walking path along the Airport Road side of the lake to make it safer for pedestrians and drivers alike.
