ALASKA COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN’S FUND
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The Alaska Commercial Fishermen’s Fund Advisory and Appeals Council will hold its fall meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, beginning at 9:00am.
The meeting will begin in executive session. During executive session, the Council will review claims for benefits that have not been approved by the Fund Administrator and claims requesting extensions of benefit limits and/or duration of care. Individuals whose claims are scheduled for review have been notified individually.
The meeting will be held in-person at the following location:
Department of Labor and Workforce Development Building

Anchorage, Alaska
The business meeting will include a review of the Fund’s current financial condition and the policies and regulations governing its administration. The business portion of the meeting is open to the public and public comments will be accepted from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on October 14, 2026. If you are unable to participate, you may submit written comments prior to the meeting for consideration by the Council. Send written comments to:

The Fishermen’s Fund assists injured and disabled fishermen who have incurred emergency medical costs because of occupational injuries and illnesses, up to $15,000 per injury. It is administered by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development and is funded by a portion of the revenue derived from commercial fishing license fees.
