DOT&PF Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan Update Public Open Houses
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting public open houses in September and October 2026 to share the draft Southeast Alaska Transportation Plan (SEATP) Update and gather public feedback. We welcome your participation and are offering two in-person and one virtual meeting.
IN-PERSON OPEN HOUSES:

Join us to view the draft Plan Update, meet the project team, ask questions, and share your feedback. The meetings will follow an open house format, allowing attendees to drop in at any time during the scheduled hours. Meeting materials will be available on the project website beginning September 15, 2026.

Project Overview
DOT&PF is updating the SEATP to guide transportation improvements over the next 20 years. The plan:
- Considers both intercommunity travel and local transportation needs
- Addresses all modes of transportation, including roads, ferries, airports, trails, and marine facilities
- Identifies regional priorities and potential projects to meet those needs
- Helps inform the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the Aviation Improvement Program (AIP)
- Covers the Southeast Alaska planning area, which is characterized by unique geography and a reliance on diverse transportation modes
