Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

PROJECT NAME: LAS 36140 Cable Crossing & Man Camp, Middle Fork Koyukuk River
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Middle Fork Koyukuk River near Chapman Island
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: S½ NE ¼ of Section 7, Township 26 North, Range 13 West, Fairbanks Meridian
(67.0941 N, 150.4895 W) man camp; (67.0950 N, 150.4899 W) cable crossing.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Northern Regional Land Office (NRO) has received a Land Use Permit (LUP) application from Ash Berringer for a 530’ transport cable across the Middle Fork Koyukuk River and a man camp, to support mining activities. The requested cable crossing and camp are located near Champman Island, along the East bank of the Middle Fork of the Koyukuk River, accessed by Chapman Road, near milepost 161 of the Dalton Highway. The camp will consist of three campers, one van trailer, and one outhouse (all within an area measuring 40ft x 60ft).
REQUESTED TERM: 5 years
