PUBLIC NOTICE 
Oil Search (Alaska), LLC, 5-Year Staging and Storage, 
Land Use Permit 
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received a 5-Year Land Use Permit application on June 18, 2026, from Oil Search (Alaska), LLC, requesting authorization to conduct storage and staging activities on state lands. This is a general permit, and individual activities will be reviewed and authorized on a case-by-case basis under this permit.

Location: Between the Colville and Canning Rivers (see application for MTRS) 
Proposed Term: September 26, 2026 – September 26, 2031 
Project Description: 
Oil Search (Alaska) LLC (OSA), requests authorization for staging and storage activities on state land on the North Slope. OSA requests these activities within and adjacent to OSA-operated oil and gas units and non-unitized leaseholds between the Colville and Canning Rivers. These activities will support oilfield exploration, development, and production.

Please send comments to dog.permitting@alaska.gov or to the Division address above. All comments must be in writing. A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments. An eligible person affected by this decision may appeal or request the commissioner’s reconsideration in accordance with 11 AAC 02. 
All comments must be received by the comment deadline: 4:30 pm, Alaska Standard Time, August 6, 2026
