The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) is providing notice under the “Fast-track Procedures” of 18 AAC 50.542(b) of the following air quality control minor permit application. A person who desires a 30-day public comment period for this permit application must make their request by 11:59 p.m. August 03, 2026, as described below.

Activity: Alaska Range Resources’ application is classified under 18 AAC 50.502(b)(3) for construction and operation of a rock crusher with a rated capacity of at least five tons per hour.
Emissions: The potential annual emissions of regulated air pollutants at the proposed stationary source will not exceed 12.10 tons per year of particulate matter.
Opportunity for Public Participation: Any interested person may request a public comment period on a draft permit for this project. If a comment period is requested, ADEC will develop a draft minor permit and issue a public notice announcing a separate comment period. During the comment period, interested persons would have the opportunity to present written statements relevant to the draft permit. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or state law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period.
