The Fairbanks Area Surface Transportation (FAST) Planning Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Federal Fiscal Years 2027 and 2028 has been released for 30-day public review and comment from June 21-July 24, 2026.

The UPWP serves as a management tool that identifies the work tasks, timeline, staffing needs, costs, and funding sources for all FAST Planning’s transportation planning and programming activities within the Fairbanks and North Pole area. The primary funding for FAST Planning work tasks comes from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
