The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting a public meeting for the Northway Road Milepost (MP) 0-3.5 Rehabilitation project on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Northway Community Center at 183 Circle Drive, Northway, Alaska.
DOT&PF is proposing to rehabilitate Northway Road from MP 0 to 3.5. The preliminary scope of work includes:
- Resurfacing and reconstructing sub-base,
- Replacing existing culverts, and
- Repairing embankment sideslopes and sideslope armoring

Comments will be accepted through July 18th, 2026.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by DOT&PF pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated April 13, 2023 and executed by FHWA and DOT&PF.
