Notice of Pipeline Application
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on June 1, 2026, Kuparuk Transportation Company filed an application seeking authority to modify existing facilities and construct a new meter module associated with the connection of its Kuparuk Pipeline to the Trans Alaska Pipeline System at Pump Station 1. Docket P-26-009 was opened to address this matter.
Kuparuk Transportation Company currently holds Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity No. 307, for the transportation of crude oil on the North Slope. Kuparuk Transportation Company states that the proposed modifications and construction will increase the metering capacity of the Kuparuk Pipeline from 360,000 barrels per day to 634,000 barrels per day.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission will determine whether the filing is complete by June 23, 2026.
