Subject to AS 38.05.555, this office has received an application for the following:

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 12 miles southwest of Tok, at approximately 63.1841° N Latitude by Longitude 143.1250° W

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NW¼ of Section 10, Township 16 North, Range 12 East, Copper River Meridian

QUANTITY REQUESTED: 5,000 cubic yards

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Extraction of material

REQUESTED TERM: Five (5) years, 2026 to 2031

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: June 11, 2026

DMLW is seeking information related to the extraction of material from this site that may assist in the development of specific operating/reclamation requirements for the site, or identifying any multiple land use issues that may need to be addressed prior to issuance of this or future contracts.

To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK  99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
