Alaska FY2026–FY2029 VAWA STOP 4-Year Implementation Plan [DRAFT]
30-Day Public Comment Period
The Alaska Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (CDVSA) receives the ServicesTrainingOfficers*Prosecutors (STOP) population-based formula grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). STOP’s primary purpose is to provide training on domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence for courts, law enforcement, and prosecutors, and to strengthen victim services. By law, STOP requires specific allocation percentages to law enforcement, prosecutors, courts, and victim services.
CDVSA invites all interested Alaskans to review the Draft FY2026–FY2029 VAWA STOP Implementation Plan and submit written comments during the 30-day public comment period, which runs from Tuesday, May 4, 2026 through close of business (COB) on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
We especially welcome comments on training and service priorities for victim services, law enforcement, prosecutors, and courts across Alaska.
Please send written comments to Michael Stevenson at michael.stevenson@alaska.gov no later than COB Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
