Snowtrails Programs – FY2027 Applications Opening Soon
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is excited to announce that application will open soon for the Snowtrails Program for Fiscal Year 2027! Application package for this funding opportunity will posted on our website at Snow Trails - Alaska DOT&PF
Dates of Proposal: This application round will open from May 19, 2026 to June 5, 2026.
The DOT&PF administers Alaska's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funds. The DOT&PF offers this competitive, reimbursable, matching trail grant for grooming public use snowtrails.
The Snowtrail Grant Program provides up to 90% reimbursement of eligible costs for the entire project cost; grantees are responsible for 10% of the entire project cost. Eligible applicants include non-profit, state government, local government, or tribal governments.
