The Alaska Sustainable Salmon Fund (AKSSF) has opened its 2026 call for proposals (CFP). We anticipate having between $3 and $10 million available.
The following list provides an overview of the CFP timing and requirements:
- Proposals must be submitted through the AKSSF website (www.akssf.org/cfp); all required forms, templates, and reference documents are available there.
- The deadline for proposal submission is 12 p.m. (noon) Alaska Daylight Time on June 24, 2026.
- All funds will require a 35% nonfederal match.
- Projects must directly relate to one or more of the AKSSF objectives (attached and found at www.akssf.org/cfp).
- Proposals submitted any time before 12 p.m. (noon) Alaska Daylight time on June 10, 2026, will undergo a courtesy administrative pre-review to identify any administrative issues (please utilize this even if your proposal is not yet finalized).
- Projects must be completed by November 30, 2029.
- Notification letters (i.e., funding decision letters) should be sent to applicants by late December 2026.
- AKSSF is offering a webinar on May 13 (9:00 – 10:30 a.m.) to help applicants understand the proposal development and project selection processes.
