Subject to AS 35.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: City and Borough of Juneau, Division of Parks and Recreation
PROJECT NAME: ADL 108111
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
State-owned uplands below Thunder Mountain near Jennifer Drive, approximately 58.3832°N, 134.5635°W.
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
Approximately an acre of state-owned uplands in the S1/2 SW1/4 Section 20, Township 40 South, Range 66 East, Copper River Meridian and NW1/4 NW1/4 Section 29, Township 40 South, Range 66 East, Copper River Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
City and Borough of Juneau, Division of Parks and Recreation (applicant) is requesting a public right-of-way easement for an existing dirt and gravel hiking/biking trail, raised wooden boardwalk, and wooden bridge over Jordan Creek to Jennifer Drive as part of the Under Thunder Trail. The easement would be 10 feet in width and 3500 feet in length, more or less.

Start: April 13, 2026
End: April 12, 2051
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 20, 2026
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must emailed to the adjudicator below or received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at Southeast Regional Land Office, PO Box 111020, Juneau, Alaska 99811 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
