The University of Alaska is seeking bids for the Matanuska Experiment Farm Wind Damage Repair – Main Repairs project. Bids will be received electronically by the University of Alaska on the Bid Express website at https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/43192/home until Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., May 12, 2026, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud at the office of the Division of Design and Construction located in the Lola Tilly Building at 1850 Tanana Loop, Fairbanks, Alaska. Bid results will be made available to the public on the Bid Express website after evaluation.
The Work consists of repair and replacement of building components damaged by wind events at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center (MEFEC) in Palmer, Alaska. The repairs and replacement will consist of hazardous material abatement and replacing or repairing of roofs, windows, and walls throughout the farm. An additive alternate is present to include total window replacements and additional fasteners throughout the work.
Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening. Acceptance of substitutions after award is limited. See Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions.

Bid documents may also be viewed by appointment only at the office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska Fairbanks, 1850 Tanana Loop, Lola Tilly Building, Troth Yeddha’ Campus, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Bidders must register through the website to be notified of addenda. The bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site for addenda or additional information for the project.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Troth Yeddha’ Campus, Matanuska Farm and Extension Center, Kerttula Hall, 1509 S. Georgeson Drive, Palmer, Alaska. Pre-bid attendance through web conferencing is available upon written request to the email address on the front of this Invitation for Bids.
Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Further instructions are contained within the Instructions to Bidders.
