NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (the Department), has received an application from McCarthy Ventures, LLC, owner of Lot 32 Block A and Lot 33 Block A, McCarthy Township Plat No. 74-52, for an Encroachment Permit within the Kennicott Avenue right-of-way (ROW) in McCarthy, Alaska.

The proposed encroachment area is located within the Kennicott Avenue ROW along the northerly side of the traveled way. The area is approximately 1,043 square feet and is adjacent to the applicant’s property.

The annual fee has been determined to be $100 per year.

Encroachment permits are authorized and regulated by AS 19.05.010 – AS 19.05.020 and 17 AAC 10.010 – 17AAC 10.014.

The file of the proposal is available for public inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Right of Way Section, 2720 Picket Place (west side of Peger Rd.), Fairbanks, Alaska. The Department will accept and review public comments regarding the proposed encroachment (ENC26-10).Written comments about the proposed disposal will be accepted by the Department no later than 4:30 PM Monday May 18, 2026.
