The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) proposes to resurface the following community roads in Healy: Coal Street, Healy School Road, Hilltop Road, Lignite Road, Ranch Avenue and Suntrana Avenue. Project work will include vegetation clearing and grubbing, signage and striping, drainage and intersection improvements. The project will improve roadway performance and annual maintenance costs.
Material sites that will be made available include Antler Creek Pit, Pit NO. 27 (MS 37-2-010-2) and Panguingue Pit (MS 37-2-143-2).
We are currently working on conceptual designs, engineering, and environmental studies, as well as soliciting public comments. Construction is currently planned for 2027-2028.
