Subject to AS 38.05.080, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Michael O. Killian/William C. Graham

PROJECT NAME: ADL 419978

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 
Healy River approximately 13 miles from the confluence of the Nenana River. See attached map. 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: 
Section 18, Township 12 South, Range 5 West East, Fairbanks Meridian
Section 19, Township 12 South, Range 4 West East, Fairbanks Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: 
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Northern Region Land Office (NRO), has received a Trapping Cabin Permit (TCP) application from Michael O. Killian and William C. Graham. The TCP is for the continued use a trapping cabin and the construction of an additional 10’x12’ structure approximately 8 miles from the original cabin.  The cabins provide safety and overnight respite due to the geographical remoteness and distance from emergency services.  

REQUESTED TERM: 10 Years

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: Public comments are due by April 14, 2026.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK  99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
