Fort Abercrombie SHP Ranger Station Improvements, Project No. 71043-2

INVITATION TO BIDDERS

The State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, subject to the provisions of AS 41.21.020 will receive sealed bids for

Fort Abercrombie SHP Ranger Station Improvements, Project No. 71043-2

near Kodiak, Alaska.

Work includes:

Work consists of completing code-required upgrades to the existing Ranger Station and Ranger apartment. First floor work includes the modification of the existing restroom for ADA compliance, a non-compliant shower for staff use, and replacement of windows. The new wall of the restroom will include connections for a new washer, dryer, and relocated refrigerator. Fuel fired boiler and water heater are being converted to electric with corresponding service and meter upgrades to match. Second floor repairs include window replacement, renovation of existing restrooms and kitchen.

Bid alternates include new flooring, replacement of baseboard heater covers, and painting all walls.

The bids will be received until 2:00 pm prevailing time on March 26, 2026, at the Division's Anchorage office, 550 W 7th Avenue, Suite 1340, Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3565.  The Department will assemble, open, and then publicly announce the timely-received bids at  550 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 1340; Anchorage, AK 99501, at 2:15 PM, or as soon thereafter as practicable.

Bids may be held by the Division for a period of forty (40) calendar days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
