LAS 35885 Mass Excavation Inc. Land Use Permit Application for Man Camp MP 342

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Mass Excavation Inc.

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35885

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located at the DMLW material site #65-9-071-2 (ADL 419579), near milepost 342 of the Dalton Highway, approximately 69.2584 N, 148.7664 W.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Umiat Meridian, Township 2 South, Range 14 East, Section 21

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land & Water (DMLW) received a Land Use Permit (LUP) application from Mass Excavation Inc. for the installation of a man camp on an existing gravel pit site. The proposed man camp includes temporary camp for 6-8 employees, portable restrooms for staff, one connex/supply van, and storage for traffic devices and delineators. Mass Excavation’s proposed man camp will support the Alaska Department of Transportation (ADOT&PF) Dalton Highway MP 247-289 and MP 305-362 Delineator Replacement project. The project will run from July to September 2026.

REQUESTED TERM: One year term

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK  99709 on or before the date noted above.
