Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Charles Daniel Delauder
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35858
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located on the western shore of Browns Lake about half a mile down Lake Road.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SE 1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 32, Township 5N, Range 8W Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: A five-year Land Use Permit for use of an excavator (25,000 lbs) on the shorelands of Browns Lake during the months of April through October. The excavator would be used to remove material and create a swimming area approximately 7 feet deep, 100 feet wide, and extend about 25 feet from the shoreline in front of his private parcel. This will result in up to 40 cubic yards of lake material being removed and purchased from state land at the regional representative sale price per cubic yard determined by the DNR Commissioner or at fair market value determined by appraisal.

End: October 31, 2031

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
